CS138B - Oracle8i/9i Database Backup and Recovery

Learn on the Operating System of Your Choice

At Ohlone We Learn ORACLE on Linux and Windows Workstations.

This is a first course in Oracle Database Backup and Recovery. This course addresses backup and recovery techniques and examines various backup, failure, restore, and recovery scenarios for current versions of Oracle Databases. Participants utilize multiple strategies and Oracle tools such as Recovery Manager to perform backups, and restore and recovery operations. Participants have the opportunity to apply some of the more advanced techniques within a workshop environment. In addition to lecture and hands-on learning, this class addresses answers to frequently asked questions concerning backup and recovery.

Course Resources:

Text books, lab scripts and solution sets will be available to the students upon enrollment. Hard copy only of PDF files will be made available for the cost of reproduction. All Oracle Software will be available for course use include the Oracle8i and 9i Database Servers to OAI Student Members who sign the OAI Software License Agreement.
